Miracle Makers is the ‘flagship’ program of East End. We have been offering MM after school and summer programs to the disadvantaged children living in inner East Dayton since 1998. East End began working in the neighborhood in 1997 by asking the community’s leaders ‘How can we help?” The response was both sad and powerful: “Our children have no dreams. Help them become successful.’
Specifically, Miracle Makers was developed to meet the community need for a safe, nurturing, and academically stimulating out of school time environment for children in the Twin Towers/Ruskin School neighborhood.
Miracle Makers Afterschool is conducted at Ruskin Prek-8 (DPS) neighborhood school. East End is the official partner of the school and offers three hours of extended day tutoring and enrichment activities to Ruskin students in grades kindergarten through the 6th grade. The program is licensed by the State Department of Job and Family Services and meets all requirements thereof.
