Donors are helping our youth become ready for kindergarten, improve tests scores and prepare for college. Parents receive education and help finding jobs.  Your gifts enabled us to build 40 new, energy-efficient homes transforming the neighborhood.        Thank You!

Working to End Generational Poverty

East End Community Services is a nonprofit organization started in 1998 to meet the needs of neighbors living in east Dayton, Ohio as part of a holistic neighborhood transformation meant to help each child succeed to the best of his or her abilities in order to become successful adults who can give back to the community.  Specifically, our mission is to "listen to and work with residents of Twin Towers and surrounding neighborhoods to bring about a prosperous, healthy and caring community."

Through housing development, community building, afterschool and summer programming, educational initiatives, teen services, and services for parents, single adults and seniors, East End reaches more than 2,500 persons a year, nearly 4,000 counting all the children from the families that we serve.

Through innovative partnership like the one with Dayton Public Schools and Ruskin PreK-8 School, we are creating a comprehensive community initiative to transform and revitalize neighborhoods.  Working with Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission, Sinclair Community College, University of Dayton, Wright State University, Mid America and many other agencies, government and foundation partners, we helped persons secure more than 1,000 post secondary certificates.  We created a new business, Dayton Works Plus, which is putting people back to work and at the same time saving valuable materials from the landfill.  We are so grateful to the many people who helped us perform this work and to the neighbors who have given more than 2,500 hours of volunteerism helping this community.
