Positive Impact on our Community

East End Community Services reaches:

  • More than 300 children and teens are served in our afterschool, summer programs and teen programs every year. These programs help children and teens improve their grades, remain engaged in school and make healthy choices. Afterschool and summer programming is helping students improve their scores on the Ohio Achievement Assessment and more than 90% of youth are maintaining high scores on a survey measuring resiliency factors.
  • More than 1,000 parents and individuals are assisted each year with finding employment or securing housing, health care or other crucial services, provided by bilingual and trilingual staff.
  • 1,400 households living in Twin Towers benefit from activities that improve the quality of housing and life in our neighborhoods. We were able to work with the police and neighbors in order to reduce crime by nearly 50% on specific offense areas compared to 2006. We are working on a project to improve 25% of the housing stock. Forty (40) new green, energy-efficient homes have been built in 2010 and 40 more are being built in 2013.
  • Neighbors receive training on financial literacy and a wide array of other topics. Cultural events and festivals reach hundreds of persons at each event. We reach more than 3,000 persons per year and 4,000 if you include other family members.

Your gift helps children succeed and enables young struggling families improve the quality of their life through employment, education and training.
