Volunteers are essential to the work of East End Community Services!
East End is truly fortunate to have volunteers who live inside and outside the target neighborhoods who help with tutoring, assist with neighborhood beautification projects and other endeavors. Our volunteers include high school and college students and other individuals from all walks of life who are committed to seeing the children and families in east Dayton neighborhoods succeed.
Currently, we have three areas in which we need volunteers! See below for more information:
Volunteer with our Youth Programs!: We are presently recruiting volunteers to work with our after-school or evening youth programs to serve as tutors or staff helpers. Volunteers really make a difference in tutoring, giving youth the chance to learn new skills and receive encouragement. We also have volunteers that are acting as mentor, sharing their skills. We have had volunteers helping youth formulate a newspaper, create graffiti, create doors painted with their aspirations, put together models and learn the science of cooking. For more information about volunteering with our youth programs, please contact Danielle Weickert, Community Organizer, at 937-259-1898 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Volunteer with our Neighborhood Beautification Projects!: Beauitfying the neighborhood is an ongoing effort! If you are interested in volunteering with beautification projects or have questions, please contact Danielle Weickert, Community Organizer, at 937-259-1898 or email@example.com
Volunteers are usually requested to complete a criminal background check to protect the children that we serve. You will be connected to the Montgomery County Educational Services Center for a background check.
